As attractive as it is to do everything on your own, building from your own strength, our lives are meant to be built in collaboration with God.

You can work harder, become better at planning and scheduling, and still be doing all of your building in vain. That's because the end results aren't up to you even though you might think they are. Ask God to build it and then do your part, confident that God's results will be far better than anything you can do on your own.

God blesses the house of the righteous. He looks after the one who is honestly trying, together, to do what is right. Your home doesn't have to look perfect or impressive to be blessed, your attention just needs to be pointed in the right direction.

Dear God, I've been trying to carry my home on my shoulders as if it all depends on me, and I'm tired. I ask that you would take over and build this house. Be the foundation underneath everything I've been holding up. Give me the courage to choose your ways. In Jesus' name, amen.

P.S. My whole family was sick this past week, so we've been laying low and trying our best to recover! Nobody ever warns you what it's like to be sick with a kid haha you still have a job to do no matter how bad you feel!
