February 19
You don't need to chase after everything in life. Start by chasing after God's kingdom first and the rest will follow.

Three Thoughts
Jesus says that we should stop chasing after the small things in our life as if they're the main thing. Seek his kingdom first and everything else falls into place. It's about trusting that when your priorities are right, God handles the rest.
MATTHEW 6:33
The world tells us to hustle hard, always. Jesus says seek differently. Instead of striving anxiously, try focused trust. God knows what you need before you ask, and he will handle your provision.
LUKE 12:31
Look at the birds. They're not stressed about tomorrow's meal. They're not losing sleep over their 401k. Yet God feeds them. And you? You're worth far more. Anxiety tells us that we've forgotten who our Father is. He sees you and he'll provide.
MATTHEW 6:25-26
Two Quotes
Church father Augustine of Hippo on being with God:
"You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you."
Author and speaker Corrie ten Boom on worrying:
"Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength."
Prayer
God, I'm tired of chasing after things that I know won't satisfy me. I'm tired of worrying about tomorrow when I know you've already handled it. Teach me to seek your kingdom first today. Amen.
Question
What would change in your daily life if you actually believed that God would provide for us?
See you next Thursday,
