Three Thoughts

One day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. Every single one. You, me, and everyone else we know. The question then isn't whether you'll acknowledge him as king at that time, it's whether you'll do it now by choice or later by necessity.

PHILIPPIANS 2:9-11

The Bible story teaches us that we used to belong to darkness, but God has transferred us into an entirely different kingdom. You're a citizen of the Kingdom of God now. Darkness has no claim on you anymore.

COLOSSIANS 1:13-14

King of kings. Lord of lords. Those are titles of Jesus and every ruler and king will answer to him. Every system, every empire, every power submits to his authority. Jesus is on the throne.

Prayer

Jesus, you are my king and lord. Forgive me for the areas where I've acted like I'm in charge. I surrender my plans, my worries, my need for control. Remind me today that the throne isn't empty. You're on it and You're good. I trust you. Amen.
