If you’re contemplating joining me on the trip to Israel, here are a couple of questions to ask yourself:
I’m just imagining what it will be like to stand near the Garden tomb just before Easter!
The team at The Brand Sunday and I believe everyone should have the opportunity to connect with Scripture in a real, tangible way. The organization we’ve partnered with knows the Holy Land better than anyone!
Don’t let anything keep you from taking this opportunity to see the Bible come to life. On this 10-day journey you’ll experience the majesty and reality of Scripture in a way you never have before.
Upon arriving in Israel, the group and I will spend the first night at a beautiful hotel on the Mediterranean Sea. The following morning, we will begin the ground portion of the tour by visiting Caesarea by the Sea and Mt. Carmel.
While in the hills of the Galilee region, we will experience a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and visit other amazing sites such as the synagogue in Capernaum, the Mount of Beatitudes, and the Golan Heights. We will stay at a beautiful resort hotel right by the Sea of Galilee for two nights.
The group and I will make our way to the desert with a private jeep tour, where we will enjoy a camel ride and spend one night in a Bedouin tent. From there, we will begin our journey to Jerusalem, staying at the beautiful Inbal Hotel.
In Jerusalem, we plan to visit the following places: Masada, Ein Gedi, Dead Sea, Qumran, Mt. of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, City of David, Mt. Zion, Jewish Quarter of Old City, Western Wall, Yad VaShem Holocaust Memorial Museum, Lion’s Gate, Pool of Bethesda, Golgotha, Garden Tomb, the Elah Valley (where David killed Goliath), and more.
Your passport expiration date must be at least 6 months from the date of our return. If your passport expires within 90 days of our scheduled return date, Israel will not allow you to enter the country. Please check the expiration date on your passport now and apply for a renewal if it doesn't meet the requirements.

As of right now Israel is not requiring proof of vaccination to enter the country but asking for testing upon arrival and departure from the Tel Aviv airport. (Updated 03/30/22)
This is, by far, the most common question asked. Since tourism is one of Israel’s most prominent industries, news agencies and/or people who may be opposed to Israel can paint Israel in such a way as to persuade potential travelers to stay away. The reality on the ground is that it is statistically safer to travel to Israel than it is to travel to some inner cities in the US. And, the most common comment that we receive when the trip is over is that people couldn’t believe how safe they felt in the Holy Land. Obviously, Israel is in the Middle East and the political situation over there will remain tense until the Lord returns*.

We recommend carrying no more than $200 cash with you. Most places that we visit will take credit cards and there are also cash machines that will take your debit card and give you shekels (the Israeli currency) in return.
No, we don’t provide travel insurance. We leave that up to the individual traveler if they are interested in obtaining that for themselves. We strongly recommend it and our friends at TravelEx have some affordable policies.

We encourage people to pack modestly. There will never be a time where you have to ‘dress up.’ While touring, it’s perfectly fine to wear shorts and a t-shirt. Jeans are acceptable everywhere we go. There are some sites that require that everyone wears pants and shirts with sleeves and we will let you know which ones they are so that you can dress appropriately on that day. The most important thing to pack is a pair of comfortable walking shoes as we do a lot of walking in the Land.
Yes, we will stop at the Jordan River and those that would like to be baptized will have the opportunity.
Each evening is absolutely free. After dinner each evening, you are free to do whatever you’d like.
When in Jerusalem, we’re walking distance from the Old City and when in the Galilee area, we’ll be close to the shore of the Sea of Galilee. You’ll be free to walk on the seashore or walk to nearby Tiberias and experience Israeli nightlife.
